Welcome
Governing
today is all about making tough choices.
Citizens are demanding more accountability from elected officials. That
is especially true in Bergen County, where county government has grown
to a $500 million a year enterprise. The county has the third highest
property taxes in the country and is $1 billion in debt ($3,350 per
household). The process of cutting the size of county government
and making it more responsible began with a new administration in
January. Now we must stay the course by electing the right people who
will fight for taxpayers and our most vulnerable citizens. Bergen’s
fiscally responsible team of Elizabeth Randall, Andrew Cimiluca, Joel
Brizzi and Anthony Rottino are the right team for Bergen County in 2011.
They offer a remarkable combination of government and private sector
experience. They are committed to cutting wasteful, non-essential
spending, yet still ensuring that the county delivers quality core
government services. Join the fight for fiscal responsibility in
2011.
